Meet The Dentist

Dr. Green and Son in Cheyenne Office

Hi, my name is Zach Green and I'd like to share a little about myself while you're here on our website! I often get the question, "What in the world made you want to be a dentist?" Well, in short, I could sum up the answer in a few simple words like: service, science, and constant challenge but we all know there is much more to it than that. I grew up in a family with two older brothers, a younger sister, and very hard working parents in central Nebraska. It was my fortune that my parents emphasized the importance of experiencing a multitude of activities as we grew up. Sports, clubs, and work saturated my life as I progressed through high school. As I grew and experienced new things I found a small piece of me that really enjoyed art. Art allowed the creative side of me to take over. We all know how it feels to get lost in something we love and holding that "artistic license" allowed my young eager mind an infinite world of possibilities.

During my journey through Creighton University I followed the path of science I loved and understood, but stayed connected to my artistic side. My high school art teacher, Mr. Loomer, and my professor in college, John Thien, gave me something irreplaceable--the love of creating something in the mind and then the application. That is in part what led me to Dentistry. The combination of science, service, and working with my mind, heart, and hands. In fact, on my drive to work everyday, I thank God for those very important aspects of my job and ask Him to guide me through my mind, heart, and hands.

At this point in my career, I am thankful for so many things. It is a very exciting time in Dentistry as technology has progressed by leaps and bounds. Many of you have witnessed this as patients. There is a constant influx of new materials, medicines, techniques, and equipment. This is very exciting.

I hope this answer provides you with a little more insight as to why I am a dentist. Sincerely, Dr. Zach Green
